LOVE GOD
When Jesus was asked which of the commandments is the greatest, he answered with a powerful challenge. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” (Mark 12:30) At South Side, the first step to becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ is to Love God. We express that love by worshiping him, not only on Sunday mornings, but with every breath we take. We love him by building relationships with those he loves, both Christians and those in the world. We love him by growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ and we love him by putting our faith in action through service. Our challenge is to love God with our entire being.

LOVE PEOPLE
Jesus said that the greatest commandment is to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” (Mark 12:30) The second commandment is to “Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Mark 12:31). He emphasizes that there are no other commandments greater than these. Loving People is all about building relationships with them. Sunday School classes, Small Groups and Youth Groups are just a few of the ways that we build relationships with one another. In these groups, you not only grow closer to God through Bible Study and Prayer, but you also grow closer to one another as you build relationships. We feel that it is very important that everyone build relationships as we become disciples of Christ.
We would love for you to get involved in building relationships with one another.

CHANGE THE WORLD
Jesus came to change the world and he did this by serving others. “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45) When we become his disciples, we want to be just like him. At South Side there are many opportunities to change the world by serving God. We believe that every Christian has been gifted by the Holy Spirit to serve him in a unique way. We want to provide you with opportunities to change the world though loving acts of service. There are service opportunities in our church, in our community and around the world.
Here are some of the opportunities to change the world by following the example of Jesus to serve. Please contact the church and we will help you find your place to serve.
